Maria Assunta Carpino (nee Albano) Passed peacefully on Saturday, August 12th surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving, devoted and selfless wife, mother and Nonna. She is survived by her husband Bernado Carpino of 60 years and her three children; Franca Seah (Thomas), Joe Carpino (Kathy) and Maria McLachlan (Darren). Loving sister of Lina Iorfrito (Cosmo, deceased), Pina Borromeo, her husband Joe and her brother Tony Albano and wife Jeanette. She will be deeply missed by her five grandchildren, Justine (Colin), Kayla, Whitney, Renee and Ryan (Kelly). Her family will miss her gentle soul, delicious cooking and constant guidance. In her 78 years of life, she showed tremendous strength as she faced difficult obstacles but never gave up hope. Maria was the best wife and the kind of woman that is irreplaceable. Her presence, smile and nurturing manner will be forever admired by her closest loved ones. Special thanks to all the doctors and nurses in the intensive care unit of the Guelph General Hospital especially Susan, Trish, and Shauna.

Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Monday, August 14, 2017 from 7- 9 p.m. A Vigil for Assunta will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Rosary Church 175 Emma St. Guelph, on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment in Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.
