QUIAMBAO, Thelma (nee Mariano) –

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the Hamilton General Hospital, on Friday April 7, 2017 at the age of 62. Beloved wife of Celso Quiambao for 39 years. Cherished mother of Quezar Quiambao (Bernice), Carmelito Quiambao (Jennifer) and Mary Bernadette Quiambao. Proud Lola to Noah, Hannah and Aylah. Loving daughter to Gliceria Simpao Mariano and the late Bernardino Mariano. Dear sister of Noel Mariano (Susan), Daisy Mariano and the late Edgardo Mariano (Maria), and Digna Guevarra (Angelito). Adoring Tita to so many nieces and nephews. Thelma worked for many years at Linamar and loved spending time with her grandkids. A gracious and loving woman with a permanent smile and a tender heart for anyone in need. Thelma suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm on March 30, 2017, but succumbed to the trauma after a week-long hard fought battle. She maintained a fighting spirit and a mischievous sense of humour until her final days, continuing to inspire and delight those around her.

Family and friends are invited to the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, where visitation will take place on Wednesday April 12, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Vigil will be held in our chapel Wednesday at 8:30pm. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in our Hart Chapel on Thursday April 13, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Marymount Cemetery. In memory of Thelma Quiambao donations can be made to Hamilton General Hospital-Hamilton Health Sciences or to Brain Injury Association of Canada, where she received much appreciated support.
